Wann hast Du mit dem Stricken angefangen? Und warum?
Ich habe in der Grundschule stricken gelernt. Bei uns mußten sowohl die Mädchen als auch die Jungs stricken lernen. (Dafür mußte ich ein Jahr später löten…) Wir haben rechte und linke Maschen gelernt, das Anschlagen und das Abketten. Meine Oma strickte Socken und das interessierte mich sehr. Ich schätze ich war ungefähr 14, als ich meine ersten Socken gestrickt habe. Pullis und andere Ungetüme kamen dann kurze Zeit später dazu, allerdings habe ich damals nichts von einer Armkugel gewußt, konnte keine Kragen stricken, das mußte meine Mutter erledigen, ebenso das Zusammennähen. Bis vor ungefähr einem Jahr habe ich nur Socken gestrickt.

On Tuesday the wool sheep ask a knitting question: When did you started to knit and why?
I learned to knit in elementary school. In my school both, girls and boys, had to learn knit. (In reaction to this I had to learn to solder a year later…) In elementary school we learned to knit, purl, cast on and bind of. My grandma knitted socks, that was very interesting to me. I guess I was 14 when I knitted my first pair of socks. Shortly after this I knitted the first sweaters and other monsters, at that time I’ve never heard something about to shape the armholes or shoulders, I can’t knit collars – my mother had to this just as to sew the pieces. Until one year ago I’ve knitted only socks.
