Weil ich neulich einen Online-Einstufungstest bei Langenscheidt gemacht habe und mir Langenscheidts empfohlen haben, einen Kurs mit Level A1 zu machen und ich mich deshalb seitdem sehr schäme und kaum mehr getraue Englisch zu sprechen oder zu schreiben….

Because I made an online English test a few days ago, hosted by Langenscheidt and the result was: they told me to visit a beginner class level A1, that means I have to learn to say “hello, my name is…” or “ I’m living in …” and since this day I nearly don’t dare to speak or write English…

    Ah, I never really liked Langenscheidt all that much. One time I showed up in a French class with one of their dictionaries, and my teacher actually sent me out to find a different one! Your English is very good. I wouldn’t put you in an introductory class at all! How silly! :)

    You could play dumb and go to the beginning one and just seem like you pick things up really really fast.

    Wie bitte? Dein Englisch ist wirklich gut, ich schaetze ich wuerde den Test auch nicht so gut schreiben.

    My accent is from the Midland by the way (meaning most would say that i do not have an accent), even though my body is from the west ;)

    Hallo, lese schon ein Weilchen mit, will mich nun auch mal “offenbaren”.
    Komme nämlich auch aus Wisconsin;-)
    (nein, nicht wirklich, und mein Englisch ist auch nicht so gut wie Deins.

    Ha! Den Langenscheidt-Test hab ich auch vor kurzem gemacht. Ich war immerhin B1, war aber auch etwas indigniert, weil ich mich doch selber besser einschätzen würde. Mach mal zum Wiederaufbauen den Online-Test beim Wall Street Institute, da war ich zumindest super.
