Am Montag kam hier eine Ladung der Frühlingsausgabe der Interweave Knits an und so konnte ich endlich beginnen, neue Projekte zu planen und dafür Wolle zu ordern. Die Wolle kam gestern an und so steht fest, daß ich mir als nächstes das Titeljäckchen des Rowan Magazins, Dandelion, stricken möchte und zwar hieraus:
On Monday I got a parcel with the Spring issue of Interweave Knits and so I started to plan the next knitting projects and ordered new yarn. I will knit Dandelion from the Rowan Magazine title in fact with this yarn:
Das ist „Bio-Bamboo“ von Rosarios, fühlt sich herrlich an und da ich sogar schon eine Maschenprobe gestrickt habe (!!) kann ich sagen, es strickt sich auch fein. Wir werden sehen, wie sich Bambus als Kleidungsstück verhält.
It’s Bio-Bamboo by Rosarios, it is a wonderful soft yarn and after the gauge I can say it’s a pleasure to knit with it. We will see if bamboo the right thing for clothing.
Darauf werde ich aber noch etwas warten müssen, denn gestern Abend habe ich zunächst das Ribs And Lace Tank aus der Interweave Knits angeschlagen und zwar mit Zitron Samoa in einem sehr schönen Braun.
But we have to wait because last night I casted on the Ribs And Lace Tank from the new Interweave Knits. I use a wonderful cotton yarn, Zitron Samoa, in a wonderful brown.
Gestern Nachmittag traf ich mich mit „meinen Mädels“, um ihnen ihr Heft zu überreichen, Kaffee zu trinken und ausgiebig zu ratschen. Als ich dann mit Sabine durch’s Städtle zurücklief machten wir noch einen kurzen Zwischenstop im örtlichen Wolle- und Krimskramsladen und da entdeckten wir doch tatsächlich was neues – zumindest für mich neu: Die Austermann Black Box. Ein Stricknadel-Selbstbauetui mit verschiedenen Nadelgrößen und drei Schnüren. Sah gut aus, im Grunde sieht es aus wie das Set von Knit Picks. Da ich aber nur wenige Stunden zuvor drei neue Rundstricknadeln gekauft hatte, habe ich mich schweren Herzens beherrscht. Aber mental schleiche ich immer noch drum herum 😉
Yesterday I met ‚my girls‘ for a little coffee klatch and I gave them her issues. We chatted a lot and had a nice time. After the meeting Sabine and I went to the LYS and discovered something new, at least for me it was new: Austermann Black Box, it’s a needle set and it looks like the set by Knit Picks. It was very tempting but just a few hours ago I bought three new circular needles and so I kept under control 😉
Dafür habe ich mir heute die Anleitung zu den German Stockings von Cookie A gegönnt, obwohl es ja langsam zu warm für Kniestrümpfe wird 😉
